Joining the lancaster linux user club is free! We don't charge as any events our outings will be pay as you go + the events we use are allowing us to use the rooms out of good community spirit as we are offering free educational services. The easiest way to join the club is to sign up to the mailing list which full information is provided below. If you have any questions in general or about joining please feel free to use our contact us form - we will get back to you that day. Enjoy the benefit of our monthly meetings were we give free and very informative demonstrations see our event calendar for a list of workshops and group events and outings.
THE LLUG MAILING LIST
Again joining the list is free and is the easiest way to join in with club conversations and activities. The list has over 20 active users offering help and general linux chat! We talk about the group and activities and some of the workshops we carry out. A lot of members use the list to help fix problems on there computers if they get stuck. Click here to sign up.

OTHER RESOURCES
If your looking for more information on GNU/Linux then please take a look through our links. Also we would suggest looking though forums and maybe look at using IRC. To access IRC you download the client software for your operating system type and connect to a server and then join the list that suits what you want to talk about, I server i would suggest to add to your IRC client is irc.freenode.net as it has a large list and lots of users. Some of the magazines available in the shops such as linux format and other various linux magazines offer great information and usually come bundled with free dvd's with free distributions for you to install.
